- What is Spiiksi?
- Spiiksi is a real-time AI interpretation service for events, conferences and meetings. The talk is streamed to the Spiiksi website from a browser, Spiiksi interprets it into the languages you choose, and the audience listens on their own phones.
- Do listeners need to install an app?
- No. Listeners scan a QR code or open a listening link and hear the interpretation straight in their phone's browser. No app, no account and no dedicated receiver is needed.
- How much does Spiiksi cost?
- Spiiksi has no setup fee, and the free Basic plan has no monthly fee: up to 100 listeners can tune in to an event at once. The Pro plan raises that to 500 listeners and adds password protected rooms and your own look on the listener page; for bigger events, talk to sales. Interpretation is paid by the minutes you use, priced per minute per interpreted language channel, excluding VAT: Finnish customers pay VAT 25.5%, EU businesses with a valid VAT ID are invoiced with reverse charge, and customers outside the EU pay no Finnish VAT. The current per-minute rate is shown on the home page and in your dashboard.
- Can I try Spiiksi at a real event for free?
- Yes. Every account gets a free demo event with 20 minutes of AI interpretation included, and up to 3 listeners can tune in at once. No card is needed. When you're ready, make it a regular event: the listener limit rises to your plan's (100 listeners on Basic) and you pay only for the minutes you use.
- Which languages does Spiiksi support?
- Spiiksi supports over 70 source languages and dozens of interpretation languages, including Finnish, Swedish, English, Ukrainian, Arabic, Persian, Estonian and Russian. The full list is on the languages page.
- Can one event run several languages at once?
- Yes. A single event can have several language channels running simultaneously, and each listener chooses which language to listen in.
- Can Spiiksi be used alongside human interpreters?
- Yes. An event can run AI interpretation channels and human interpreter channels side by side, and listeners pick the channel they want.
- What equipment does the organiser need?
- Streaming needs a browser and a microphone: a laptop's built-in mic, a headset, or the venue's sound system. Listeners need their own phone and headphones. No dedicated interpretation hardware, receivers or booths are required. If the venue already has a headset system, the interpretation can be fed into it so listeners can keep using the headsets they already have.
- Is the event audio recorded?
- Event audio is processed in real time and is not stored unless the customer specifically requests a recording. Sessions of the website demo are recorded to improve quality and deleted after 90 days. The privacy policy describes the processing in detail.
