Start translated calls and translate text from a Teams channel.
Mention Spiiksi in a Teams channel and it answers in the thread:
@Spiiksi call es Lucíastarts a call with a Spanish-speaking customer named Lucía, and posts the agent's link and the customer's link.@Spiiksi callstarts a call; the customer chooses their language when they open their link.@Spiiksi translate de: Thanks for waitingtranslates text into German.@Spiiksi helplists the commands.
The person who mentions it becomes the call's agent; the agent's language is the one set in Spiiksi.
Set up#
It's a Teams outgoing webhook: no Azure app registration and no admin consent.
- In Teams, open the team: ⋯ → Manage team → Apps → Create an outgoing webhook. Name it Spiiksi. For the callback URL, enter any https placeholder for now. Create it.
- Teams shows a security token. In Spiiksi, open API & integrations → Connectors → Microsoft Teams, paste the token, choose your agents' language and Connect.
- Spiiksi shows a callback URL. In Teams, edit the outgoing webhook and set it as the callback URL.
Good to know#
- Every message is checked against the security token (HMAC-SHA256), so only that team can use it.
- The webhook answers in the channel thread, where everyone in the team can see it. The agent's link speaks for the agent side, so use it in your support team's channels.
- An outgoing webhook only answers when mentioned; it can't post on its own. To hear about phone callers waiting, use webhooks into a channel workflow.
