You can use your own interpreters with Spiiksi. They interpret straight into Spiiksi from their own browser, and listeners pick the interpreter's channel alongside the AI languages.

Setting it up

  1. On the event page open Advanced settings.
  2. Under Audio to translate, press Add audio and add the interpreter as an audio source of their own.
  3. Add a listener language for it with the type Human speaker.
  4. Turn on Show captions for that source if listeners should also read the interpretation as text. Spiiksi transcribes the interpreter as they speak.
  5. The interpreter opens the channel with Join as interpreter and broadcasts from their microphone.

AI voice and tuning settings don't apply to human interpreter channels.

Interpreter accounts

Under Interpreters in the dashboard you can create accounts for your interpreters: name, email and a temporary password. They sign in and see Your Channels; Connect to Channel starts streaming their microphone to listeners. Deactivate an account when it's no longer needed.

Example data

What an interpreter sees after signing in.

  1. 1Connect to Channel streams their microphone to listeners.

Price

Streaming your own interpreter through Spiiksi costs a per-minute price, with live captions of the interpretation included. The current price is on the pricing page. The interpreter's own fee is between you and the interpreter.

Human interpreter channels don't count towards the Pro multi-language discount.
