A poll puts one multiple-choice question to everyone listening. Each listener sees it on the listener page in the language they listen in and taps an answer. The votes are counted together whatever the language, so you get one result for the whole room, and you can also see it split by language.
Polls are part of Pro (and Max and Enterprise). On Basic the card shows a link to the plans instead. For a record of who understood a briefing, use a comprehension check instead (Comprehension checks): polls are anonymous.
Making a poll
On the event page, in the Polls card, press New poll.
- Question: what you're asking, e.g. "Which shift do you work?"
- Answers: 2 to 8 options.
- Show results to listeners: listeners see the results after they vote. You can turn this on or off at any time, also after the poll has closed.
Write the poll in the language you speak. Listeners see it translated by AI into the language they listen in, only into the languages your event offers. If a translation fails, listeners see the poll as you wrote it.
Once anyone has voted, the question and answers can't be changed, so the results always match them. Make a new poll instead.
Opening and closing
- Press Open to listeners to show the poll. It appears on every listener's page within about ten seconds, above the player. The speaker can also open and close polls from the speaker screen, which shows the results as they come in.
- Press Close to stop the voting. The results stay. Open again reopens it.
How listeners vote
They tap an answer. Tapping another answer changes their vote while the poll is open; each phone has one vote. If you show the results, they appear under the question after they vote, with their own answer marked.
Results
The Polls card shows each answer's share and number of votes, updating every few seconds while the poll is open. By language shows how listeners of each language voted, when more than one language voted.
Votes are anonymous: you see how many chose each answer, not who. Deleting a poll deletes its votes.
